Escaping the Chrysalis owes its title of course, to the butterfly, a small insect that starts out struggling to break free from the chrysalis that would otherwise weigh him down. The butterfly gains strength through the struggle, and without that experience, would not develop the necessary strength to fly. It is like that with humans. We each like to think that we would enjoy a life blessedly free of strife and struggle. But what would be the point? How would we learn and grow? If not for the lessons we learn as a result of our experiences, who would we be? Without the blessings in the life mire, there would be no strengthening. And as a little nudge in the funny bone, remember this: Whatever you need, you radiate out to the universe to be answered with the perfect experience to bring the lesson. Thus, when you have thoroughly learned a lesson, there is no need to repeat the experience. A little mindfulness goes a long way in this awareness. If you aren’t happy with your life, take a look at what you’re projecting, at what radiation frequency the universe is answering. If you’re broadcasting gratitude, you’re not attracting misery.
“Nature gave us struggles to create strong characteristics, because to never have any struggles would be crippling. Learn lessons of independence, and inter-dependence and let go of passivity or co-dependence.
“So the moral to the story is stop whining, squeeze through, embrace the lesson, flap your wings, and fly free.” Excerpt from Escaping the Chrysalis: Introduction to Gestalt Techniques for Self-Esteem Transformation by J. Deelstra.
Today I made the decision to give each one of my books a new home of their own. Rather than starting in chronological order from first to last, I am reversing the flow and adding my next to latest book, Escaping the Chrysalis: Introduction to Gestalt Techniques for Self-Esteem Transformation first. It may be only because Escaping the Chrysalis is so much more labor intensive that I provide it first with a unique blog site. Or maybe it is simply that Escaping the Chrysalis has a larger audience than does anything else I’ve published to date. Whatever the reason, I am proud to create this unique space for those who read the book, and for those who come to browse.
Escaping the Chrysalis is an experiential guide-book to whole (gestalt) living, and as such, I will add support wares here such as free downloads of self-esteem quizzes, and other assorted sundries that work to build self-esteem, and to promote transformative experiences. These wares are also being placed on my author page in the Free Zone, so be sure to check there too.
The book will soon be available in both soft cover and Kindle Edition, and promises to be the book with the most dog-ears on your shelf. It covers subjects from dream interpretation as a means of empowerment to assertive communication for healthy relationships. It offers techniques for releasing internalized messages that stop true fulfillment and success. It provides abundance building and empowerment tools, and clarifies matters that hold us back in culturally defined roles, and more, more, more. This is a book that delivers. And pre-orders are being taken now with a delivery date of 1-2 weeks. By pre-ordering, you ensure the book will ship directly to your door immediately upon release (estimated, April 4th.)
I hope you’ll visit often, and come along for the ride as transformation takes place. I sincerely look forward to sharing the journey.
~Always in gratitude, Jan Deelstra
